A 26 year old woman has been arrested for the murder of a 12 year old boy collecting donations for a youth football team Saturday afternoon.
According to reports Ricky Tave was struck by a car on W. Ledbetter as he tried crossing the street.
The driver of the vehicle Jatasia King,26 initially stopped her vehicle but when other witnesses tried to detain her she drove off.
Officers and emergency crews arrived at the scene and transported Tave to Children’s Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
King was later arrested and faces charges for failing to render aid.
