Dozens of packages that contained cocaine were located along the coastline of the Florida Keys this past weekend, authorities say.

U.S. Border Patrol officials stated that the drugs were found by witnesses who discovered the packages in a line of mangroves near the Ocean Pointe Condominiums.

When Monroe County deputies went to retrieve the packages, they discovered a large package that had smaller packages inside of it. The smaller packages were stuffed in tightly and wrapped with black tape. The contents were tested and confirmed to be cocaine.

The total weight of the whole package was 71.6 pounds.

In all, both agencies found 126 pounds of cocaine that had been valued at close to $2 million.
