13 year old Elliott Tanner graduated from the University of Minnesota with his bachelors degree in Spring 2022.

Tanner held a 3.78 grade point average while tutoring classmates. He has a passion for physics and math.

The University of Minnesota was not his first college stop. Tanner went to Normandale Community College at age 9 and graduated with his associates degree at age 11.

As a toddler between the ages of 2 and 3, Tanner taught himself how to read. At age 5, Tanner memorized the periodic table.

Tanner is pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Minnesota in the fall. The school refused to offer any financial aid, so Tanner’s parents took matters into their own hands. They set up a GoFundMe account to pay for Tanners Ph. D program, which costs $87,000. So far 2 of the 3 years have been paid for and Tanners parents are able to focus on funding year 3.

Tanners hopes to become a high energy theoretical physicist and a physics professor at the University of Minnesota.
