14-year-old Samia Rogers lost her life following an all-terrain vehicle crash after hitting a tree on Tuesday. The incident occurred in Slidell, Louisiana.
Another teenage girl was injured, as well, and she was transported to a medical facility, where her condition isn’t known.
Officials say that the teens didn’t have helmets on when they were traveling in the ATV, close to 6:15 p.m. They added that the teens didn’t navigate around a curb correctly, struck a tree, and were both ejected from the ATV.
