The mother of a 14 year old special needs boy was arrested after leaving her son outside of an Atlanta hospital on December 4.
Police used hospital surveillance video to identify Diana Elliott,37 after she left her son outside of Grady hospital.
She was seen walking around on video with her son and then walking with him outside before getting into a red minivan alone and driving away.
Nurses noticed the teen outside and took him in from observation.
The mother was located at a Dekalb County hotel where she told authorities that she became overwhelmed with caring for the teen and her other three children.
She was arrested Tuesday and charged with cruelty to children.
