A 14 year old teen in Alabama killed his family late Monday night in their home and later confessed to police. 
According to reports the teen contacted police early Tuesday morning and told them he heard loud gunshots upstairs in the home.
When officers arrived they found one adult and two children dead and then another adult and child in critical condition.
The two surviving victims were transported to a nearby hospital where they later died. 
The teen later confessed to shooting his family with a 9mm gun and tossing it and is now helping authorities locate the murder weapon.
The victims were the teens father, stepmother and siblings.
Detectives are investigating a possible motive for the shooting.
