A 15 year old boy was arrested and charged with the murder of his mother early Sunday morning.
Officers were called to a McKinney home on the 700 block of Donelson Dr around 1am.
Upon arrival officers found Stacy Ellen Barney,50 dead inside the home.
According to the surveillance footage in the home the mother was beaten to death by her son.
The teen was later found by authorities while performing a search in the area and charged with murder.
This investigation remains ongoing.
