17-year-old Cory Nieves, from Harlem, New York, is an entrepreneur who is the head at Mr. Cory’s Cookies. The store, which is making a lot of money, has all-natural and high-quality cookies.

The company makes original recipe cookies such as Double Dark, Oatmeal Raisin, Sugar, and more are coming.

After grumbling to his mother about riding a bus to school instead of car, Cory founded the cookie business when he was just 6-years-old.

Nieves started out by offering hot cocoa in order to help raise money to buy his mom a vehicle. This sparked his entrepreneurial mindset. He then started selling lemonade and cookies, too. He and his mom learned all they could about baking and then started creating original cookie recipes.

“While this all started out as a way for a son to help his mom, it’s become so much bigger. I know it’s hard for the fatherless kids out there, but he has a drive and a tenacity that prevents him from giving up. He keeps pushing through the ups and downs. When I see my son, I see myself,” said his mother, Lisa Howard.

Mr. Cory’s Cookies are offered at Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Whole Foods, Pottery Barn, and more.

Soon, Cory hopes to attend college and wants to be an investor.
