A shooting at a high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has resulted in the death of one person, and another person was wounded. That second person is in the hospital in stable condition.
Authorities are now looking for the person who fired shots close to Tulsa McLain High School, on Friday evening, at around 10 p.m. A 17-year-old lost their life.
The shooting occurred during the school’s homecoming game, close to the tennis courts, and detectives believe that the assailant is a juvenile.
“Officers got to the scene very quickly and started rendering first aid as quickly as they could. There were hundreds of people in attendance for this game. So, we’re hoping we have lots of witnesses who can help us identify who this suspect was,” said a captain for TPD.
No firearm was found at the location, and the assailant, believed to be a Black male, is thought to still be armed and dangerous and is currently being sought.
