Two males have been arrested and charged with capital murder for the fatal shooting of a 17 year old boy in Grand Prairie.
The shooting took place early Monday morning shortly after 4 a.m. when officers responded to a call on the 2000 block of Aggie Dr.
When they arrived they found the victim, 17 year old Demarcus Harrell Jr., suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to Medial City Arlington where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities believe that Harrell Jr. knew the suspects and was possibly engaging in “high risk activity” with them. Then an argument occurred leading to the fatal shooting.
The suspects then fled the scene before officers could arrive.
Later that day the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force arrested 17 year old Jesse Fulce and 20 year old Nathan Oviedo at a Waxahachie residence.
Both men were charged with capital murder and are being held at the Grand Prairie Detention Center. Their bond is set at $1 million each.
