A Georgia teen has been arrested after going online and threatening to kill a sheriff and his family.
According to reports, 18-year-old Quartavius Mender was arrested on May 26 by Fulton County officials.
Apparently, Mender took to social media and expressed his frustrations regarding the recent arrest of Young Thug.
He then posted threatening comments to Fulton County Sheriff Patrick Labat, his wife, Jacki Labat as well as the Atlanta Public Schools police chief.
The comments posted were made directly on the sheriffs page and read, #freethug or Imma sh00t u and your wife,” he wrote, according to an arrest warrant. “Imma assassinate you.”
Sheriff Labat released a statement saying, “We take these kinds of brazen threats seriously. Social media cyberbullying, and hiding behind a keyboard, will not protect someone from criminal prosecution.”
Mender was charged with 23 felony counts of terroristic threats. He is currently being held in Fulton County Jail with no bond.
