18 Year Old Killed During Livestream in Garland; 16 Year Old Friend Charged With Manslaughter
A 16 year old girl has been arrested and charged with manslaughter after she accidentally killed her friend during a livestream in Garland.
Officers responded to a shooting call, a little after 6 p.m., Tuesday at an apartment complex on the 1700 block of Apollo Road.
Upon arrival officers found 18 year old Princess Omobogie suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Omobogie died two days later from her injuries.
During the investigation officers learned that the 16 year old was doing a livestream in which she was holding two handguns. Sometime during the live the gun went off and struck Omobogie who was filming.
The 16 year old was arrested following her friends death and charged with manslaughter. Due to her age her name will not be released. She is currently being held at the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center.
