19 Bodies Found Shot And Burned Near Texas/ Mexico Border

An investigation is underway after over a dozen bodies were found burnt and bullet ridden in two different vehicles near the U.S. Mexico border, across the Rio Grande from Texas Friday.
According to Mexican authorities at least 19 bodies were found deceased in a violent territorial area.
The Tamaulipas state prosecutor’s say the bodies were found along a dirt road outside Camargo after residents reported two burning vehicles.
When authorities arrived they found two vehicles engulfed in flames, one vehicle had four bodies inside while the other had 15.
They also found some rifles but no shell casings, leading officers to believe the victims were all shot and killed somewhere else.
Rumors started circulating Sunday that Guatemala’s were among the dead.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry released a statement saying, “Guatemala’s embassy in Mexico and consulate in Monterrey were communicating with state and federal authorities to determine if among the victims is any person of Guatemalan nationality.”
Consular aid protocols have been activated.
