$19 Million Available For Dallas Renters Struggling To Pay Rent

4kviews

The Dallas Housing Authority has received $19 million in federal funds from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The initiative was put into place to assist people who have become unemployed or struggling to afford rent.

Renters in Dallas that have been impacted and need assistance with rent can submit an application for up to 18 months of financial relief.

In 2020, 1,000 renters received assistance from the federal funds in three months. In the last two weeks, $2.5 million of new funds have already been committed.

Renters who are granted relief should receive the money within a week. There is no set amount of money a renter can receive, but there is a limited amount of months that they can get the help. In order to stay eligible, renters must provide documentation every three months.

Renters who earn 50% less than Dallas’ median income or less, and those who haven’t been working for the past 90 days, will be given priority.

twitter updates. I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this.
Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly
enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.
