A 19 year old male was found fatally shot and Mesquite police are now investigating.
Around 11:20 p.m. on December 5, officers responded to a shooting call on the 1200 block of Mulberry Lane. Upon arrival they found an abandoned vehicle with multiple gunshots in the door.
After searching the area officers found a 19 year old male in the backyard of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid until first responders arrived and transported the victim, who was later identified as Mitchell Wilson, to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
At this time officers have no suspect(s) in custody and this investigation remains ongoing.
