A 19-year-old woman from Brazil discovered that she gave birth to twins that have different dads.
The young mother, who’d started having suspicions of who the father of her children was, had a DNA test done. She collected DNA from the man she suspected to be the father, but to everyone’s amazement, it only matched one of the twins.

An egg has a life span of 48 hours while sperm can be up to 10 days. Therefore, in one week multiple eggs can be fertilized from separate acts of intercourse with different men.
The woman confirmed what happened and explained that she then did a second DNA test and it matched the other twin. “I remembered that I had had sex with another man and called him to take the test, which was positive.”
