A TV news reporter and photographer, in Orlando, Florida, were shot at a scene where they had been covering a story, on Wednesday.
Authorities say that the television reporter was one of three people killed in a shooting rampage in Pine Hills while covering another shooting. Sources report that the crew was employed by Spectrum News 13.
19-year-old Keith Melvin Moses has been apprehended and charged with murder in relation to a shooting on Wednesday morning. He is also expected to be charged in four additional shootings that happened later that day, including the killing of the news journalist.
Authorities say that Moses has a criminal past that involves gun charges, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and assault with a deadly weapon.
At about 11 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies answered to a call in the 6100 block of Hialeah Street. They then found a woman in her 20s who had been fatally shot. Later, Moses is said to have run to a home and shot a mother and her daughter, 9. The child later died.
Police aren’t sure why Moses targeted the two news crew members, the woman, and the mother and daughter who had been shot.
The surviving crew member and the mother were listed in critical condition.
