Garland police are investigating after a woman fatally stabbed her mothers boyfriend.
Around 3:15 a.m., Tuesday morning officers received a call from a female stating that she had stabbed her mothers boyfriend. Officers responded to the call on the 1800 block of Apollo Road to learn the male had already been transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
The 19 year old female told officers that her mothers boyfriend, 46 year old Tyrone Moody Henderson, had attacked her along with other family members. She then said she stabbed him in self defense.
Authorities are speaking with witnesses that were present during the stabbing to corroborate the story. Police also said the woman is cooperating with police during the investigation.
No charges or arrest have been made at this time. This investigation is ongoing.
