Two young children have lost their lives and their mother was placed in a medical facility, following two dogs attacking them, at their Tennessee residence.
On Wednesday afternoon, the two dogs attacked a 2-year-old girl and a 5-month-old boy and their mother. This occurred north of Memphis, close to Shelby Forest State Park.
The children were declared deceased at the location, and their mother was transported to a hospital in Memphis, in critical condition.
Reports indicate that the two pit bulls were removed from the home by animal control.
No further information has been given, and an investigation is continuing.
