Two people died, and four others were injured, which includes three police officers, during a shooting. The incident occurred in a community in Haltom City, Texas, on Saturday evening, police say.

Authorities were seen looking for an armed suspect, close to the 5700 block of Diamond Oaks Drive North. Those who reside near Glenview Drive and Denton Highway were asked to remain in their homes during the search.

Around 9 p.m., police stated that they had come to the location in relation to a shooting. One woman was found dead inside of the residence. A man was found dead in a driveway, and one other civilian and three officers were wounded. The initial 911 caller is believed to be the person who was found deceased in the driveway.

The three officers and an elderly woman were taken to a medical facility with non-life threatening injuries.

Police couldn’t confirm whether there was “an exchange of gunfire between the officers and the suspect.”

The suspect had been described as a white male with dark-colored hair. He wore a blue shirt, blue pants, and a “battle belt.” He also had a rifle and pistol in his possession.

Authorities say that the suspect was located and seemed to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot injury.
