2 Year-Old Passes Away After Lunging From Dad’s Arms On Escalator

On Sunday, a two year-old boy leaped from his dad’s arms on an escalator and went over the other side. It occurred at a shopping mall in Colorado.

The child died on Monday from his injuries after falling two stories below at the Town Center of Aurora Mall outside of Denver.

“I was in one of the shoe stores, and I heard a lot of screaming…Then, out of nowhere the shop owner ran outside. He was on the phone. I heard him saying that something happened, and he couldn’t close the store because he had guest,” a shopper stated.

“… they came shopping and ending up having to go to the hospital, not knowing if their kid was going to survive,” he added.

Authorities are investigating but suspect it was just an accident.

In a statement, the mall said that its, “thoughts and prayers,” are with the family.
