The aunt that was given temporary custody of her 18 month old nephew she reported missing last week is behind bars after his body was discovered in a Rowlett landfill.
According to Dallas police Chrystal Jackson was arrested early Thursday morning on child endangerment charges.
Jackson was granted temporary custody of Cedrick Jackson and reported him missing to police on July 10 telling them that she remembered putting him to bed the night before around 11pm and when she woke up he was gone.
Authorities later arrested Jackson’s boyfriend Sedrick Johnson after they found out he had access to the apartment and had removed the child from the apartment in the middle of the night.
Johnson remains in custody on charges of serious bodily injury to a child.
Jackson remains in custody on a $35,000 bond for child endangerment.
