Two women were arrested on child cruelty charges Wednesday afternoon after a teen escaped their home and sought help.
According to reports a 14 year old teen boy escaped his home on Coldwell St and went to a neighbors house for help.
Once there he told the neighbor that he was hungry, being concerned the neighbor contacted police.
When authorities arrived the teen was taken to an area hospital for treatment and the doctors described the teen as “malnourished”.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for the residence and arrested Kari Barber,30 and Cassidy Dunn,39.
Both women were charged with second degree cruelty to a juvenile and false imprisonment.
