Dallas police are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Monday morning.
According to reports officers responded to a service call at an area hospital early Monday morning.
Upon arrival officers were notified that the victim Nicholas Nathaniel Slaughter,29 had died from his injuries.
Officers later learned that the victim was shot next to the Chocolate Lounge on the 2000 block of S. Lamar Street by an active shooter on foot.
No suspects have been arrested at this time.
The shooting remains under investigation.
