A Kentucky man is facing murder charges after fatally shooting a pregnant woman Sunday night.
Officers responded to a shooting call around 9 p.m. at an apartment complex on the 3200 block of Melody Acres Lane.
Upon arrival they found the victim, 20 year old Darriona Jones, inside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to an area hospital where her and her unborn child were pronounced dead.
According to reports, Jones mother told police that her daughter and 21 year old Devin Minor had gotten into an argument. When she stepped outside with a younger child she heard multiple gunshots from inside.
When she tried to re enter the house Minor was walking out.
Louisville PD arrested Minor and he was charged with murder, fetal homicide and intimidating a participant in the legal process.
His bond has been set at $1 million in cash.
