Dallas police arrested a man early Saturday morning for the fatal shooting of another man.
Around 12:16 a.m. Saturday morning officers responded to a shooting call on the 5800 block of Preston Oaks Road. Upon their arrival they found 26 year old Derrick Thomas in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
While investigating officers learned that 28 year old Lamar Jack was responsible for the fatal shooting.
He was arrested and booked into Dallas County Jail for murder.
