DPD and federal agents conducted an operation sting that led to 47 arrest last week.
The sting led to the seizures of over 100 guns and $1.8 million in cash.
The sting was called ‘Operation Pegasus’ and it was focused on curbing gun violence in the Pleasant Grove area.
In a statement Garcia said, “The southeast Dallas Pleasant Grove area has experienced a high concentration of of violent crime. Therefore, narrowing in on this area makes most impact in the short 90 day operation period.
Dallas division ATF Jeffrey Boshek said the operation involved 117 undercover’s and was performed within 90 days.
