A vehicle with two women, a baby and 275 pounds of marijuana was pulled over by Texas Border Patrol on April 12 near Brownsville.
According to officials Ashley Resendiz,22 and Carla Resendiz,47 were pulled over near the border after someone tipped off Border Patrol saying they saw a white Ford Escape near River Bend Golf Course being loaded with what appeared to be drugs.
Border Patrol spotted the vehicle and when they pulled them over spotted the drugs inside the vehicle next to a baby in a car seat. 
The women were arrested and taken into custody and the baby was released to a relative.
Carla Resendiz was released on a $75,000 bond and Ashley Resendiz waived her rights and remains in custody until trial.
