On Sunday, three people were killed and others were injured as a shooting occurred at a mall in Copenhagen.

Danish police say that a 22-year-old was taken into custody in relation to the shooting.

Videos and pictures circulating social media depict people running out of Field’s, the biggest shopping location in Denmark. Armed police were seen surrounding the area, as well as, helicopters flying overhead.

“He seemed violent and angry. He was shouting as he ran and took the gun and smashed the windows. You’d think it was an action movie as he walked. He seemed very proud of what he did. I could tell,” stated one eyewitness of the gunman.

Authorities say that the dead include a man in his 40s and two young people.

They believe that the suspect acted alone although they haven’t ruled out other shooters.

The Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, commented on the matter. “We have all been brutally ripped from the bright summer that had just begun. It is incomprehensible. Heartbreaking. Meaningless. Our beautiful and usually so safe capital was changed in a split second.”
