A Florida man accused of raping and impregnating a 13 year old girl is behind bars and claiming voodoo made him do it.
On December 19 the victim was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center after suffering severe abdominal pains. A pregnancy test revealed the teen was six weeks pregnant.
Medical staff spoke with the teen who told them that she had been sexually abused by 41 year old Jean Innocent four times since 2020.
The doctors then contacted West Palm Beach Police who also spoke with the victim.
During a one party consent call officers heard Innocent tell the victim to make up a name about who got her pregnant because if she said his name he would go to jail.
Authorities arrested Innocent and during an interview he told them that he only remembered having sex with the victim twice, with the most recent being in November.
Innocent also told police that he believed voodoo was the cause of him raping the victim.
He now faces two counts of sexual battery on a child, one count of incest, and one count of impregnation of a child.
Innocent remains in Palm Beach County jail on a $28.000 bond.
