The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that claimed the life of six people, including four children Sunday.

On March 26, a crash involving two cars was reported around 1:30 a.m. on I-24 in Robertson County.

According to THP, the crash involved 9 people in which 6 of them died. When officers and emergency crews arrived on the scene they saw a male driving the BMW who stated he was involved in the crash but uninjured.

Emergency crews then spotted an overturned Toyota Camry with severe damages. There was an 18 year old male that was transported to TriStar Skyline Trauma Center in stable condition. He was wearing a seatbelt.

They then located another woman outside the car suffering from severe injuries and she was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

First responders also found the driver of the Camry 21 year old Tania Rodriguez, 35 year old Rina Reyes and four young girls deceased outside the car.

Authorities believe none of them were wearing seatbelts when they were ejected from the vehicle.

At this time it is still unclear how the carwash was cause but officers said no charges have been filed against the driver of the BMW.

The investigation remains ongoing.
