8 Month Pregnant Woman Fatally Shot During Drive By In Texas A Day Before Baby Shower

A Houston mother to be was gunned down a day before her baby shower, during a drive by, while leaving a gas station with her boyfriend.

On September 16, 20 year old Jennifer Hernandez was leaving a gas station on Airtex Drive and Ella Boulevard with her boyfriend.

As they were driving away a white four-door sedan with tinted windows and paper plates sped by and opened fire at them. The suspect vehicle fled the scene before officers could arrive.

Hernandez and her boyfriend were both transported to area hospitals where Hernandez and her unborn child were pronounced dead. Her boyfriend was listed in stable condition.

Deputies believed the incident was a cause of road rage but the boyfriend told authorities they had no prior encounter with the suspect vehicle.

Hernandez family said she was excited to become a new mom and was planning on opening a nail salon.
