A shipment of cocaine, found secretly in banana crates, was sent to grocery stores in Czech. This was before it was able to be intercepted in Germany.

Authorities eventually seized the entire shipment when they were alerted by various stores across the country. The powder-filled packages had been found in banana crates.

The shipment is said to have come from Colombia. Czech authorities and drug-sniffing dogs were sent out to look into the matter. They could be seen on video, inspecting a shipment of the banana crates.

The drugs had gone through the German port of Hamburg before getting to the Czech Republic. It was shipped as blocks of pressed cocaine and weighed 1,851 pounds. It was estimated to have a street value worth $83 million.

An investigation by the Czech police and international authorities will continue to take place.
