At approximately 10:25 p.m. on September 21, 2025, officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 1600 block of South Hampton Road. Preliminary findings suggest that the suspect was attempting to enter a residence when a gunshot was fired. When officers arrived, the suspect was detained for criminal mischief and was taken to a nearby hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue for treatment of a superficial injury.
