Dallas police reported that the shooting occurred around 1 p.m. in the 2500 block of West Wheatland. Preliminary information indicates that an unknown suspect engaged in a physical altercation with a woman before pulling out a gun and shooting her. The woman was transported to a hospital but later died from her injuries. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival and has not yet been apprehended.
