On the morning of October 23, 2025, two police officers responded to a serious vehicular collision on I-30, where a female driver and her infant were ejected from the vehicle. The infant was found pinned beneath the overturned car and unresponsive. Sgt. R. Nichols and Officer E. Bounds, aided by witnesses, managed to free the infant. Sgt.
