On Wednesday morning, four students from Arlington ISD were hospitalized after a student threw a water bottle containing a potentially dangerous substance at them.

Arlington police and fire officials confirmed that the incident took place around 8 a.m. on a bus near Arlington High School.

The student allegedly threw a water bottle filled with an unknown chemical at several other students. Those affected experienced eye irritation and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Initially, the 14-year-old suspect told authorities that the bottle contained a mixture of water, mustard, and sand. However, subsequent tests detected the presence of bleach in the liquid.

The juvenile is likely to face charges of aggravated assault.
