Tarrant County officials are investigating the death of a three-year-old girl at Eagle Mountain Lake.
On June 4, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office along with Fire Rescue teams responded to a report of a drowning at West Bay Marina, situated in the 6900 block of Liberty School Tap Road. Upon arrival, they discovered the young girl unresponsive on the shoreline after being rescued from Eagle Mountain Lake.
Bystanders administered CPR until emergency personnel arrived. The child was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Authorities are reviewing evidence to determine how the child ended up in the water.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will establish the cause of death.
