
Early Sunday morning, two men were shot during a gathering in Dallas.
Police responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 2 a.m. on the 3100 block of Dusty Oak Drive.
Upon arrival, officers found two men with gunshot injuries. One victim received a tourniquet from authorities, and was taken to a nearby hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue. Unfortunately, the other victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators learned that the shooting occurred amid a backyard party that turned violent after an altercation spilled into the front yard. The situation rapidly escalated, resulting in gunfire.
The suspect(s) fled the scene prior to police arrival, and no arrests have been made at this time.
Officials are continuing their investigation to uncover what led to the deadly shooting.
