Approximately 850,000 Ozark Trail Stainless Steel 64-ounce water bottles sold at Walmart are being recalled over a significant safety risk, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
The recall concerns bottles labeled as Ozark Trail Stainless Steel, due to a serious impact hazard. The CPSC reports three incidents where the lid unexpectedly ejected forcefully upon opening, with two cases resulting in permanent eye injuries caused by the lid striking consumers in the eye.
These water bottles were sold both in Walmart stores and online from 2017 through 2025.
Consumers are advised to stop using the bottles immediately and return them to the nearest Walmart for a full refund.
