Taco Bell Partners with Salt & Straw to Launch ‘Tacolate’ Ice Cream with Exclusive Sauce Packets

Salt & Straw, a Portland-based ice cream brand, has partnered with Taco Bell to launch the new “Tacolate” this week at select locations nationwide.

Starting Friday, October 3, the Tacolate will be available both in Salt & Straw storefronts and for nationwide shipping through Salt & Straw’s website.

This unique treat features a taco shell crafted from hand-pressed waffle cones, filled with cinnamon ancho chili ice cream, and dipped in chocolate. It will be served alongside two custom Taco Bell-inspired sauce packets: mango jalapeño sauce and wildberry cinnamon sauce.

Salt & Straw and Taco Bell first collaborated in 2016, when Salt & Straw introduced their ice cream taco at Wiz Bang Bar, their soft-serve concept. The partnership was renewed in 2022, when Salt & Straw re-released their limited-edition “Chocolate Tacolates,” which sold out quickly. This success caught the attention of Taco Bell CEO Sean Tresvant.

The Tacolate collaboration was announced during Taco Bell’s Live Más LIVE event last year.

Additionally, the Tacolate will be offered for nationwide shipping in six-packs via the Salt & Straw website.
