Dallas police are investigating a crash that resulted in a shooting in Deep Ellum.
According to reports, shortly after midnight on September 4, officers responded to a call about gunfire in the 3100 block of Commerce Street. Upon arrival, they received reports from Baylor Hospital that a shooting victim had been brought in via a private vehicle.
Authorities determined that both calls were connected.
Investigators found that the victim had been involved in a minor car crash. An argument then ensued between the suspect and the victim, escalating into a shooting.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, but their condition has not been disclosed. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and remains at large.
