An investigation is ongoing following a fatal shooting outside a PetSmart store in Dallas on Tuesday afternoon.
Dallas police reported that the shooting occurred around 1 p.m. in the 2500 block of West Wheatland.
Preliminary information indicates that an unknown suspect engaged in a physical altercation with a woman before pulling out a gun and shooting her.
The woman was transported to a hospital but later died from her injuries.
The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival and has not yet been apprehended.
The case is still under investigation.
