Accuser Disappointed about Decision in “Y Bar” Drink Tampering Investigation in Michigan

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety confirmed June 9, 2021, it found no evidence of drink tampering at the Y Bar. One of the women,19, stated she drank from drinks that were drugged at the bar. She was not pleased about the investigation coming to an end.

Recordings inside the Y Bar revealed co-owner Jon Rockwood poured a couple of drinks for a group of women. Many of the women stated that they don’t recall most of what happened that night after that in Mid-April.

After two months of investigation, the department closed the case and confirmed that they did not notify the first accuser. The unidentified woman states on social media that she first heard about the closing of the case on the news. She wonders why authorities did not tell her.

She believes the closing of this case is why many women don’t disclose these type of offenses to authorities.
