Police Officer Shot In Head Released From Hospital

The Dayton police officer shot in the head while investigating a complaint has been released from the hospital.
Officer Thadeu Holloway responded to a fraud complaint of a customer using a counterfeit bill at a Dollar General located on the 800 block of Gettysburg Ave around 6:40pm.
Holloway located the suspect, Antwyane Lowe,39 on the 600 block of Ingram St around 7:24am. While trying to detain Lowe a small scuffle ensued.
Holloway tased Lowe, which brought him to the ground. Lowe was able to retrieve a handgun and shoot once striking Holloway in the side of the head.
He then returned fire striking Lowe in the neck and shoulders.
Emergency crews arrived to the scene and transported Holloway to a local hospital in stable condition.
Lowe was arrested and charged with two counts of felonious assault on a peace officer, two weapons charges and a single count of assault on a peace officer.
