Man Critically Injured After Being Shot In The Head

Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a man critically injured early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a shooting call on the 10500 block of Newkirk St around 3:25am.

Upon arrival they found a crashed mustang with a man inside suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

He was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.

During the investigation officers spoke with the victims girlfriend who was also inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

She was transported to headquarters for questioning. This investigation is in its early stages.

The suspect goes by the name “Prince.” He is a black male between the ages of 18 and 20. He no was last seen driving a black 2008-2011 Honda Accord 2 door coupe missing the front plate and possibly paper tags

Detectives are working to determine a motive. No suspect remains at large.
