Teen’s Car Repossessed After He Bought It For $10,000

Johnathon Fredericks, a 16-year-old teen from Fort Worth, thought that he bought a car from a car dealership.

Five months after giving a part-time salesman $10,000 for a compact SUV at I Drive-DFW, the company repossessed the car.

Salesman James Steelman told the boy and his grandfather that he was selling his own personal Mazda.

However, the owner of the business said that he sold Steelman the car, but the man had stopped making payments on it. Therefore, it was taking it back.

The owner said that he wasn’t aware that the car had been sold to someone else, as Steelman was a freelance salesperson that particular day.

Steelman states, though, that the car was his “outright” because of a business deal with the company.

In the meantime, Fredericks doesn’t have a car that he worked so diligently at Chik-Fil- A to earn, he said. He received a bill of sale receipt from Steelman but was still waiting on the title.

Court records show Steelman has a prior record for felony debit card theft, theft by check, deceptive trading practices, and forgery.

  1. You really make it seem really easy together with your
presentation but I to find this matter to be actually one thing which I
believe I’d never understand. It kind of feels
too complicated and extremely broad for me. I’m having a look forward on your
subsequent post, I will try to get the hold of it!
