Shirleen Hernandez, a-72-year-old great-grandmother, was viciously beaten and carjacked. The man who took her car eventually crashed it and died.

Last week, Hernandez visited a Shell gas station in San Antonio, Texas. Every morning she goes to the location to buy a Diet Coke.

Police say that as she was walking inside, a man beat her badly as he was trying to take her car keys.

Three males witnessed what was happening and attempted to take the man down. However, he was still able to get away in the woman’s car.

“I can see that man in detail. I have a picture in my mind of him that just won’t go away.

A little while after Hernandez attacked, her vehicle was found wrecked on Interstate 35. Police say that the carjacker was found dead inside of the car.

“There’s a lot of people who say what goes around comes around…Now, granted he had hurt me, but the Lord saw fit to take him out of his misery,” Hernandez stated.

“I just don’t want to quit working. So, I’ve got to somehow get another car and that takes money and stuff,” she added.

A GoFundMe campaign was created so that Hernandez would be able to purchase another vehicle. It has already reached over $5,000.
