Hutchins Police discovered a woman’s dead body in a getaway vehicle after a short pursuit.
Around 11 a.m. on April 21, officers received reports of an armed robbery at the Motel 6 on I-45 and Dowdy Ferry Road.
Three people hopped out of the car near the intersection of Stagecoach Trail and Maxine Drive after a brief chase and attempted to flee on foot.
One suspect who fled was apprehended, while the other two are still at large.
When authorities returned to the vehicle, they found an unidentified woman face down and unresponsive on the car floor.
The woman, whose identity hasn’t been disclosed, was declared deceased. A cause of death has not been released.
An investigation is ongoing. No details regarding charges have been released at this time.
