Dog Found Running Down Street With Human Head In Its Mouth

A dog was observed running down the street with a human head in its mouth in Mexico.

Officials in the state of Zacatecas validated the occurrence. On Thurday, authorities said that police were able to eventually get the head from the dog.

A law enforcement officer said that the head and other body parts had been found at an ATM booth in the city of Monte Escobedo, late Wednesday evening.

The remains also had a note with it that referenced the drug cartel. However, before authorities could act, the dog took off with the corpse’s head.

A recording posted to social media depicted the dog going down a dark street, holding the head by its neck, in its mouth. It seemed to be attempting to take the head to a safe location for consumption purposes.

Zacatecas has been an area of many killings as a turf war involving local gangs supported by the Sinaloa and Jalisco drug cartels have been occurring.

Drugs cartels in Mexico are known for leaving notes next to dismembered human remains. They do this to scare rivals or law enforcement officials.

In June, the remains of seven men were discovered in a popular tourist attraction area. They contained warning notes, mentioning the Gulf Cartel.

In April, six cut off heads were said to have been found on a car roof, in Mexico. It contained a message that read, “This will happen to anyone who messes around.”
